Great to be back on our main field and host some home games actually at home (Lions), good to see then midweek kids games and activities around the place it’s a great position for the club to be in as we head into warmer weather.
Let’s get along on this bank holiday support the club on and off the field and I’m sure it you will have a great time.
As well as teams recruiting we are also looking for a couple of coaches ideally to be involved in primary and our younger teams if anyone would like to send their expression of interest be happy to have a chat about the exciting roles..

uOur NCL squad returned to the Millpond for our fixture against Drig and
just shows the level we need to be achieving and unfortunately our start
hasn’t been great…different 17 each week can take its toll on
momentum and also the disruption with the team dynamics.
On a plus side every player has had an opportunity to play and few of
our U18s have also gained debuts so that’s pleasing that they have seen
the level of the NCL and to set objectives for their own performance
goals to achieve. Similar scenario with our National Cup run, a few
missing players we’d have had the experience to push on with the half
time lead however fish and chip paper now.
Each week see new challenges of some bashed up bodies at the moment
but it’s pleasing to see some of the old Fev Lions from previous years
starting to come back and help push our NCL season, with that said the
likes of Wisey loving rolling back the years!
May brings us away against Beverley which will be a tough place to visit
and then the week after we return home for our only 2nd game 5months
in.
Congratulations to a further two U16 players who have returned from injury and were selected for their scholarship fixtures on the 17th April clash. Billy Wilson played for Cas Tigers and Max Hobson played for Wakefield Trinity. Well done for coming back strong!
