Featherstone Lions ARLFC are delighted to confirm that Danny Glassell will return for another season in 2026, committing once more to the club he knows better than anyone.

An ever-present Lion during the club’s past glory years, Danny needs little introduction at Millpond Stadium. Renowned for his commitment, attitude and loyalty to the badge, he has decided to dust the boots off for one more year, keen to enjoy the journey ahead and play his part in the club’s continued rebuild.

A versatile utility player, Danny has featured regularly at centre and second row, and is also looking in great shape to roll into the pack when required. His adaptability and experience give the Lions valuable options across the field, while his leadership and standards remain just as important off it.

Danny is also the all-time top try scorer in Featherstone Lions history, a remarkable achievement that underlines the impact he has had at the club over many seasons. His record stands as a testament to his consistency, durability and attacking ability, and cements his place as a true Lions legend.

Having been part of the club through its most successful periods, Danny brings with him a deep understanding of what it truly means to pull on a Lions jersey. His presence around the squad will be invaluable as the club continues to grow and push forward in 2026.
