   Featherstone Lions ARLFC are delighted to welcome Connor Hampson back to the club ahead of the 2026 season.

Connor’s rugby league journey began across several clubs during his junior years before he found his true home with the Lions at U18 level. His talent and commitment quickly stood out, earning him representative honours with Featherstone Rovers U16s, before progressing into the professional pathway.

He later signed with Huddersfield Giants U19s, where he spent two years developing his game at a high level. Following his time at Huddersfield, Connor continued his progression by signing with Halifax Panthers, spending a further two seasons gaining valuable senior experience.

On the international stage, Connor has proudly represented Germany Rugby League, earning six international caps. He was also part of the Exiles setup last year, playing a key role in the ongoing revival of rugby league in Germany, an achievement that highlights both his ability and leadership qualities.

In addition to his playing career, Connor plays an important role off the field as the club’s Strength and Conditioning Coach throughout pre-season. Having worked closely with the squad, he knows exactly what is required and has seen first-hand the effort and commitment being put in by the lads — something that encouraged him to commit to being part of the Lions’ playing group for 2026.
