  As announced earlier, Featherstone Lions ARLFC will be running two Open Age sides in 2026, and we are delighted to confirm that an application has now been submitted to introduce a Lions Masters team for the 2026 season.

This exciting development offers former players and new faces alike the chance to dust off the boots, bring some of the magic back, and once again pull on a Featherstone Lions shirt as part of our growing Open Age structure.

The Lions Masters team will be open to players aged 35 and over, providing a competitive but enjoyable environment focused on fitness, camaraderie and a continued love for the game. Whether you’ve played recently or it’s been a few years since you last stepped onto the field, this is a great opportunity to get back involved.

An initial meeting will be held, followed by a light touch-and-pass session, giving players the chance to meet, hear full details, and help shape how the Masters side will operate going forward.

We are now actively looking for players interested in being part of this new team. If you’ve still got the passion for rugby league and want to represent the Lions once again, we’d love to hear from you.
