Featherstone Lionesses faced a tough opening game against a strong Silsden Stormettes side. The Lionesses battled hard throughout the match but went into half time trailing by four tries after Silsden showed their attacking strength early on.Despite the scoreline, the Lionesses showed great determination in the second half. The team managed to pull two tries back thanks to Kristina Ndoja and Lexi Smith, both finishing well after some positive attacking plays.There were plenty of encouraging moments during the game, with some good teamwork and strong carries, although at times the Lionesses were a little flat-footed against the fast-paced Silsden attack. The opposition proved difficult to contain and eventually ran out winners.A special mention goes to Annabelle, who made her debut for the Lionesses in her first game for the team
